Barrett Township Historical Society
The society was founded on July 30, 1993. Our mission is to promote the history of Barrett Township and the surrounding area.
Barrett Township Historical Society celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2018. We have operated the Cresco Station Museum since 1999, housed in the circa 1880's train station built by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western railroad. In 2018, we opened the Library and Research Center across the street from the station, in a building built in 1928 for the Cresco Post Office. The Cresco Station Museum was closed during most of 2019 for a complete replacement of the floor and supporting structure. The Weiler Family Foundation kindly leases both buildings for our use. |
We will reopen in the spring!! Visit us from 1-4 pm every Sunday April through October.
The Library and Research Center is open by appointment.
